Morgan State beats Savannah State 45-6

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — Travis Davidson ran for 125 yards and three touchdowns to lead Morgan State past Savannah State 45-6 in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference showdown Saturday night.

Savannah State (0-5, 0-3) scored the first points of the game when quarterback Antonio Bostick ran it from 1-yard out.

On the ensuing kickoff, Morgan State’s Chris Flowers answered with an 88-yard return for a touchdown. Brian Mann added to the Morgan State (3-2, 2-0) lead late in the second quarter with a 4-yard touchdown run. The Bears led at halftime 14-6.

The second half belonged to Davidson, who scored all three of his rushing touchdowns in the third quarter, including an 80-yard run.

Morgan State’s defense dominated the entire game, holding the Tigers scoreless the final three quarters.

Savannah State has now dropped seven in a row to the Bears and has lost 12 straight games dating back to last year.
