Letter: Not all options ruin mother’s life

I’m writing in response to Roz Luther’s Sept. 27 letter, “Leave decision in hands of women,” which seems to imply that abortion is the only option. I am a pro-life woman who found myself pregnant at age 15 with a baby, not a piece of tissue. I gave birth to my daughter when I was 16. My dreams were not dashed, my life was not ruined and her life is worth as much as mine. Was it tough? Absolutely. My parents were upset for a while, but that vanished when their grandchild was born. Thirty-seven years later, that same daughter has blessed me with three grandchildren that I absolutely adore.

As for adoption, I believe that the vast majority of adoptive parents and children are well adjusted.
