Letter: McKenna is a champion for citizens

The Columbian
Published: October 12, 2012, 5:00pm

As a Realtor, I understand a healthy housing market and preventing foreclosures are key to our economic recovery. As the Washington attorney general, Rob McKenna has championed foreclosure prevention. McKenna has worked to ensure banks provide loan modifications to deserving homeowners and has addressed faulty foreclosure processes. He helped negotiate the National Mortgage Settlement to bring support to distressed homeowners to save their homes. The Sept. 15 Columbian story reporting “County, state see big jump in foreclosures” drives home the point we need to elect a governor who acts, doesn’t just talk. Vote Rob McKenna for governor on Nov. 6.
