LEXINGTON, Va. (AP) — Jeremy Height and a stifling defense helps Coastal Carolina dominate Virginia Military Institute 34-7 Saturday in Big South Conference play.

Coastal Carolina (3-4, 1-1) got off to a fast start and did not look back.

Jeremy Height scored first for Coastal Carolina on a 19-yard touchdown run. Height led the team in rushing with 97 yards on 12 carries.

Already leading 14-0, Aramis Hillary found Demario Bennett for a 10-yard touchdown pass and a 21-0 lead. Hillary finished with 114 yards on 11 of 19 passing, and added 58 rushing yards on 10 carries.

VMI (2-5, 1-2) was unable to move the ball the entire game against Coastal Carolina’s smothering defense.
