Ogden — The Ogden Neighborhood Association has filed an appeal of the Burton Park Apartments project, which would put 112 apartment units in two- and three-story buildings at Northeast 79th Avenue and Burton Road. “This is the third plan for use of the property, and the majority of the surrounding homes object to the plan as it does not address the safety and needs of the neighborhood, nor city ordinances adequately to protect the homes around it,” says the latest issue of the Ogden newsletter. Neighbors met with the developer and nearby homeowner associations; many neighbors showed up for an appeal hearing on Oct. 10. “Now, the fates are in the hand of the hearings examiner, and we wait to see where we can affect some changes to the plan,” the newsletter concludes.
