BEREA, Ohio (AP) — Scott Fujita is contemplating retirement from the Cleveland Browns because of a neck injury.

Fujita said Friday he is not ready to announce that his career is over and wants time to discuss the decision with family. He said he is more sad than angry at not being able to play.

The 33-year-old linebacker, one of four players suspended by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell for his role in the New Orleans Saints bounty scandal, last played Oct. 7 against the New York Giants.

Fujita had neck surgery in college and said he was grateful to play another 13 years “relatively pain free.”

He will serve as honorary captain Sunday when the Browns play host to the San Diego Chargers.
