Kevin Haynes, Battle Ground
Battle Ground running back Kevin Haynes was voted The Columbian’s football player of the week in a vote by fans on Facebook.
Haynes collected 36 percent of the 900 votes cast by fans to beat out Clayton Frank of Columbia River. Frank had 27 percent.
Haynes rushed for 316 yards on 15 carries — a 21-yard average — and four touchdowns in the Tigers’ 41-27 win over R.A. Long. He also had a 57-yard TD reception and finished with two catches for 63 yards.
Other nominees included Camas’ Reilly Hennessey, Union’s Leon Siofele, and Heritage’s Loren Standiford.
