A woman was uninjured after accidentally driving her car through the front of a central Vancouver hair salon Thursday morning, officials said.
The crash happened just before 8 a.m. at the Perfect Look Salon at 7302 N.E. 18th St.
Vancouver Fire Department spokesman Kevin Stromberg said an elderly woman pulled her car in front of the salon near the WinCo Foods on Northeast Andresen Road. While she was waiting for the business to open, she accidentally put her car into drive and it went through the front glass window.
No one was inside the salon at the time of the crash. The woman was uninjured. Her name was not available.
There was no structural damage to the building but the car knocked a few water pipes off the wall and caused cosmetic damage, Stromberg said.
