Battle Ground 56, Decatur 20

The Battle Ground Tigers ran over the Decatur Gators to remain unbeaten three weeks into the season.

Battle Ground had 363 rushing yards, including two players who broke the 100-yard mark. Kevin Haynes finished with 192 yards on 18 carries with two touchdowns, and Trevor Ingram had 109 yards on 14 carries with two rushing scores.

Quarterback Ian Humphrey was 8 for 15 for 135 passing yards and four touchdowns, each to a different receiver.

The Gators kept it close through halftime with a score of 21-13, but the Tigers scored four touchdowns in the third quarter to take a 49-13 lead. Battle Ground had 222 yards in the period.

Battle Ground (3-0) travels next week to take on the (1-2) Auburn Mountainview Lions.
