Public input invited in updating strategic plan

Input is welcome at a 5:30 p.m. Sept. 24 public meeting to update the Battle Ground Public Schools’ three-year strategic plan. The meeting will be at the former Lewisville Middle School, 406 N.W. Fifth Ave.

Updating the plan is central to the district’s ongoing long-range planning, and it’s also part of the school board’s process in determining the amount of a February 2013 school-levy ballot measure. The levy approved by district voters in 2010 expires in December 2013.

Management consultant Thomas O’Connor of Wind Mountain Group donated his time to facilitate drafting the plan in 2009 and is again donating his time to update the plan.

This is the first in a series of meetings to update the district’s strategic plan.

The previous strategic plan from 2009 is accessible at http://battlegroundps.org on the right under “key links.”
