WOODLAND — The first-ever Lewis River Fall Fest in Woodland, set for Sept. 28-30, also will be a fundraiser for a new city park.

Proceeds from the festival, which is sponsored by local businesses and the Rotary Club of Woodland, will help build the planned 40-acre Scott Hill Park and Sports Complex on Scott Hill Road.

The complex is expected to include sports fields of all sorts, as well as walking trails, exercise stations, a playground, covered picnic area and concession stand.

The Lewis River Fall Fest will include entertainment, a car show, food, wine sipping, "Antiques Alley" and an art competition.

According to Rotary, the park will be built completely with donations. Learn more at rotarypark.org.
