Letter: Without school funds, B.G. will fail

The Columbian

Of the 50 maintenance and operations levies that were run in Washington state, Battle Ground was the only district to see their effort fail. I care about the housing market, businesses and especially education in Battle Ground. I hope that the taxpayers see that voting down the levy again can only hurt all three. What families will want to buy houses or rent here, who will be around to shop here if the schools are failing and there are few opportunities for kids?

We must fund education together to be a thriving community. It all starts with children and education — please vote “yes” on April 23 — and prove that we value our community and are willing to invest in the future.
