The Port of Camas-Washougal announced today that it has signed Foods In Season as the first tenant for the Steigerwald Commerce Center, an industrial park development project that kicked off in August 2012. The tenant agreement specifies a 15-year lease for the port’s first and newest building, which will be constructed this year.

Foods In Season is a local specialty foods distributor that is already an established port tenant. The company plans to vacate its existing, company-owned, 13,620-square-foot building. The port plans to purchase the building and lease it back to the business until its larger building is ready in early 2014.

“In a period of eight months, the port went from the shovel groundbreaking to signing its first tenant,” said David Ripp, port executive director.
