Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun returns to lineup

CHICAGO (AP) — Ryan Braun is back in the Milwaukee Brewers’ starting lineup after missing three games due to spasms on the right side of his neck.

The Brewers waited to finalize their starters until Braun got a chance to take batting practice before Monday’s game at the Chicago Cubs. The 2011 NL MVP looked just fine in the cage, so Milwaukee put him back in left field and in his usual No. 3 spot in the batting order.

While Braun returned to the lineup, shortstop Jean Segura was out with a bruised left quadriceps. He was injured during Sunday’s 8-7, 11-inning loss to Arizona.

Braun had at least one hit in each of Milwaukee’s first three games and is 4 for 10 with a home run and four RBIs.
