NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Knicks have signed forward Solomon Jones for the remainder of the season.

New York is dealing with injuries to just about all its big men, including All-Star center Tyson Chandler. Recent addition Kenyon Martin injured his ankle earlier this week.

Jones last played in the NBA during the 2011-12 season, averaging 3.2 points and 2.8 rebounds over 13.9 minutes in 21 games with the L.A. Clippers and New Orleans.

The 6-foot-10, 245-pounder averaged 3.1 points, on 47-percent shooting, and 2.4 rebounds in 268 career games with Atlanta, Indiana, L.A. Clippers and New Orleans.

He played for Liaoning of the Chinese Basketball Association during its 2012-13 season.

He was originally drafted by the Hawks in the second round in 2006 out of South Florida.
