The man who robbed a Vancouver coffee shop wearing a mask like the one worn in the “Scream” movies probably robbed a Longview Muchas Gracias the same day, according to police there.

The masked robber displayed a handgun and robbed Torque Coffee about 8 a.m. March 31. The coffee shop is at 507 Columbia St., across from the Hilton Vancouver Washington. He ordered a barista into a walk-in cooler before escaping with some money.

Longview police told The Daily News on Thursday that the Torque robber is likely the same person who hit the Muchas Gracias on Washington Way.

The Muchas Gracias robbery occurred about two hours before the Torque heist.

Wearing a mask and carrying a black semiautomatic handgun, he entered the 24-hour fast food restaurant and made off with about $1,000 and an employee’s wallet.

The robber is approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall with a light to medium build. He wore a dark-colored Nike sweatshirt and green latex gloves. He carried a dark-colored shoulder bag.

According to The Daily News, the man may drive a 1980s- or 1990s-model light-colored quad-cab truck with no tailgate.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Vancouver police hotline at 360-487-7399.
