TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have selected Buffalo pass rusher Steven Means in the fifth round of the NFL draft.
The pick continued a trend in which the Bucs have used five of their first six picks to upgrade a weak secondary and bolster the defensive line.
The 6-foot-4, 250-pound Means was a defensive end in college, but may get an opportunity to make Tampa Bay’s roster as a linebacker. He had 18 1-2 sacks career sacks at Buffalo, fourth in school history.
