TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers continue to reshape their defense through the NFL draft, selecting Illinois tackle Akeem Spence early in the fourth round.

The Bucs moved up 12 spots Saturday to make Spence the 100th overall selection. In addition to swapping positions with Oakland in the fourth round, Tampa Bay sent one of its two sixth-round picks to the Raiders in exchange for the opportunity grab the 6-foot-1, 307-pound Spence.

The Bucs have used three of their first four picks in the draft to upgrade the defense, beginning with trading the 13th-pick overall to the New York Jets in exchange for cornerback Darrelle Revis.

They selected cornerback Johnthan Banks in the second round. Adding Spence addresses a need created by the loss to Roy Miller to free agency.
