Paving work will close Northeast 137th and 138th avenues between Northeast 28th and 49th streets to northbound traffic on Monday and Tuesday, then to southbound traffic on Wednesday and Thursday.

Drivers will still be able to travel southbound when the northbound stretch is closed, and vice versa.

Construction hours are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., said Loretta Callahan, spokeswoman for the city’s public works department.

The work will be dependent on the weather, she said.

Detour routes will be posted.

Nutter Corp. of Vancouver, the project’s contractor, will work with residents within the temporary closure area to provide access, Callahan said.
