SEATTLE — The King County medical examiner’s office has released the name of the man killed in Monday’s Seattle police shooting. He is 31-year-old Martin Duckworth.

Medical investigator Nick Fletcher says the office Wednesday is still completing autopsy work.

Police say Duckworth shot a bus driver, wounding his cheek and arm, after the driver asked him to pay the fare. Duckworth fled and was chased by officers to another bus where he was fatally wounded.

The state Department of Corrections said Duckworth was placed on community supervision after a drug-case conviction in King County in October 2011 and completed the supervision April 15.

The Seattle Times reported court records show Duckworth has a long history of drug abuse and mental-health issues.
