Kickball tournament kicks in for Dream Big

The Columbian
Published: August 20, 2013, 5:00pm

Hazel Dell — The second annual Celebrity Kickball tournament held last month at Luke Jensen Sports Park raised more than $6,000 for The Dream Big Community Center, a charity that encourages at-risk youth to live positive lives and pursue their dreams. “The game was one for the ages,” wrote Nathan Webster, Dream Big’s executive director. County Commissioner Steve Stuart and Vancouver Mayor Tim Leavitt led the teams, and Webster noted that “Team Stuart sent the game into overtime, winning in the third overtime with a walk-off kick. Team Leavitt has nothing to be ashamed of by winning the donation competition.” You can relive the fun at http://youtu.be/No7CGB6iJSs.
