Vancouver police are asking the public to help identify three people who allegedly stole merchandise and fought with store employees.

On Tuesday, a man walked into Walgreens, 2515 Main St., stole merchandise and fled from the store. The man then attempted to strike a store employee who confronted him. Surveillance footage captured images of the alleged thief, who is described as a white man in his 50s with a white mustache and goatee, who was wearing blue jeans and a green-and-yellow flame-printed shirt at the time of the theft.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact Officer Brian Ruder at brian.ruder@cityofvancouver.us.

Earlier, on Friday, Aug. 16, surveillance cameras captured a man stealing fragrances from Macy’s in the Westfield Vancouver mall and then leaving the store. When confronted, he fought with the store’s loss prevention officer and ran away.

Surveillance cameras also captured footage of a woman who was with the suspect at the time of the theft. Anyone with information on either of these people is asked to contact Officer Ilia Botvinnik at ilia.botvinnik@cityofvancouver.us or 360-518-4101.
