Texans release 13 players, cut roster to 75

HOUSTON (AP) — The Houston Texans have released 13 players and placed receiver Alec Lemon on injured reserve to reach the roster limit of 75 players.

Lemon, a rookie undrafted free agent, has a right hamstring injury. Houston waived two injured players: nose tackle David Hunter and receiver Mike Smith.

Also released Tuesday were linebackers Elliot Coffey and Ja’Gared Davis, running back Ray Graham, fullback Zach Boren, quarterback Stephen McGee, tight end Adam Schiltz, defensive end Earl Okine, tackle Nick Mondek, cornerback Travis Howard, guard Bryan Collins and punter Andrew Shapiro.
