MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Chicago Bears strong safety Major Wright has been deactivated for the game at Minnesota because of a hamstring injury.

Wright was hurt in practice Friday. His absence Sunday brought the total of missing Bears defensive starters to five. Craig Steltz was the starter in his place. Backup safety Anthony Walters was also inactive with a groin injury. Defensive tackle Jay Ratliff was active for the first time since joining the team one month ago.

For the Vikings, quarterback Josh Freeman was inactive for the sixth time in eight games on the roster. Cornerback Josh Robinson (sternum) was out for the second straight game, and tight end Kyle Rudolph (foot) was out for the fourth straight game.

Audie Cole started for Erin Henderson at middle linebacker for the second straight game.
