IPFW beats SIU-Edwardsville 95-75

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) — Luis Jacobo scored 20 and Pierre Bland had 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne over Southern Illinois-Edwardsville 95-75 on Saturday night.

After Michael Kibiloski put IPFW up 49-37 on a 3-pointer early in the second half, the Mastodons led by no less than 10 points for the rest of the night. They were 31 of 54 from the floor for 57 percent.

IPFW (9-4) led 39-31 at the break but scored 56 points and shot 9 of 15 from 3-point range in the second half. Isaiah McCray and Kibiloski each scored 11 and Steve Forbes added 10 points for the ‘Dons.

SIUE (2-9) fought to within 29-27 in the first half, but allowed a 10-2 run and never challenged IPFW again. Maurice Wiltz and Keaton Jackson scored 14 apiece for the Cougars and Kris Davis and Donivine Stewart each added 11.
