EASTON, Pa. (AP) — Seth Hinrichs scored 19 points and Joey Ptasinski added 14 as Lafayette broke away from Division III Immaculata after halftime for a 79-54 victory Tuesday night.
In all, eleven players scored for Lafayette (4-5), which won its fourth-straight. Nick Lindner, coming off a career-high 24 points last week, added 10 and Zach Rufer eight with four of the Leopards seven steals.
The Mighty Macs (3-4) fought their way into six early ties only to have 3-pointers from Ptasinski or Hinrichs push the Leopards ahead.
An 11-2 run with 3s by Lindner, Hinrichs and Rufer grew some breathing room en route to a 40-32 halftime lead. The lead grew to 25 points when Immaculata went stone cold and didn’t’ score for the first seven minutes of the second half.
Lafayette forced a season-high 20 turnovers and made 27 of 51 field goals, including 11 3-pointers, to just 14-for-41 shooting for Immaculata.
