OGDEN, Utah (AP) — Jeremy Senglin scored 23 points as Weber State overwhelmed St. Katherine College 107-36 on Tuesday.
Weber State (2-4) had six players score in double figures against St. Katherine, a community college in its first year of play. St. Katherine’s other D-I game so far this season was an 88-39 loss to Utah Valley.
The Firebirds were never in this one, as Weber State scored the first 16 points of the game. The Wildcats lead first hit 20 with 9:21 left in the first half at 27-7 after Davion Berry (16 points) nailed a 3-pointer, and they held a 43-15 advantage at the intermission.
St. Katherine’s Dante Miller made the first bucket of the second half, but Weber State went on a 24-0 run immediately after and kept pouring it on throughout the second half, outscoring the Firebirds 64-21 after the break.
Stephen Merrell led St. Katherine with nine points.
