MADRID (AP) — Spanish police say a burglar has helped them arrest a soccer coach in southern Spain who they believe sexually abused some boys he trained.

Police said the burglar, who hid his identity from the police, called to say that he had found videotapes during a robbery showing the abuse. He said he would leave the evidence under a parked car.

After viewing the videos, police tracked down the suspect, a local coach, and arrested him.

Police records revealed the suspect had reported a break-in nine days earlier, saying that a burglar had stolen electronic equipment but failing to mention a video camera and the tapes.

Police said in a statement Thursday they had identified four victims who had suffered abuse for up to six years.
