LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Dodgers have made three moves in their bullpen, re-signing J.P. Howell and adding Chris Perez and Jamey Wright.

The team announced the deals on Tuesday.

Howell signed a two-year contract that includes a third-year vesting option. The 30-year-old left-hander had a career-best 2.03 ERA while going 4-1 in 67 relief appearances in his first season with the team.

Howell was especially tough on left-handed hitters, holding them to a .164 batting average.

General manager Ned Colletti says Howell’s demeanor and competitiveness were “real positives” in the clubhouse.
