JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) — Marvin Dominique scored 26 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead St. Peter’s to a 67-59 win over Cornell on Saturday, extending the nation’s longest losing streak to 18.

With Desi Washington and Trevis Wyche each going 4 of 4 from the free throw line in the final minute, the Peacocks (4-7) made 27 of 32. Both scored 11 points, with Wyche contributing six assists. Dominique went 8 of 13 from the field and 8 of 9 from the line.

Cornell (0-12), off to its worst start ever, got 21 points from Devin Cherry and Nolan Cressler but no other player scored more than three. The Big Red shot 40 percent (to 36.7 for St. Peter’s) and had a 34-32 rebounding advantage but getting out-scored by 20 from the foul line and having twice as many turnovers as the Peacocks’ seven ensured adding to the school record for consecutive losses.
