Girls basketball: Westview (Ore.) 59, Union 54

Union overcame an early deficit, but couldn’t pull ahead of Westview in the Nike Interstate Shootout in Lake Oswego, Ore.Westview hit five of its six 3-pointers in the first quarter to open a 15-point lead in the consolation-round game.

Union pulled within two points with two minutes to play, but missed chances to tie on three possessions.

Jaime Nared, a 6-foot-2 guard bound for the University of Tennessee, scored 25 points to lead Westview.She was matched by Union’s Tee Anderson, bound for Colorado State-Pueblo, who also scored 25. Each had seven 2-pointers and two 3’s.
