Warner, Morehead State coast past Asbury 102-68

MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) — Angelo Warner had 22 points, eight rebounds and seven assists while Chad Posthumus added 17 points and a career-high 20 rebounds to lead Morehead State past Asbury of the NAIA 102-68 Monday night.

Morehead State (9-6) opened on an 18-1 run, capped by a Brent Arrington 3-pointer, and coasted to a 42-23 lead at the break. The Eagles shot 47 percent from the field and moved out to an 81-40 lead midway through the second half.

Jordan Percell scored 19 points for Morehead State. Posthumus grabbed 10 boards on the offensive and defensive side, fueling the Eagles to 60 points in the paint and a 31-5 advantage on second-chance points.

Asbury shot 34.4 percent and managed just five points in the opening 11 minutes of the game. They were led by Cam Richardson with 14 points and Jordan Gilbert contributed 12.
