Boston U pulls away from Maine 79-72

BOSTON (AP) — Dom Morris scored 20 points to go with seven rebounds as Boston University beat Maine 79-72 Tuesday night in the 100th meeting between the two programs.

John Papale added 16 points, Maurice Watson Jr. 14 and D.J. Irving pulled down 10 rebounds for Boston, which has won four straight at home. Watson had eight assists for the Terriers, who finished one short of their season high with 18.

The Terriers (12-11, 6-4 America East Conference) trailed 22-19 before Papale hit a 3-pointer to spark a 20-4 run. Travis Robinson, who chipped in nine points off the bench, capped the run with back-to-back 3s.

Boston shot a scorching 58.1 percent (18 of 31) and made eight 3-pointers en route to a 48-32 lead at the break.

Maine (8-15, 3-7) outscored Boston 38-20 in the paint but committed 18 turnovers.

Xavier Pollard led Maine with 20 points while Justin Edwards tallied 16.
