STANWOOD — Authorities say an 86-year-old resident of a Stanwood assisted living facility opened fire on a supervisor, wounding the man.
Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said Monday night that deputies have arrested the elderly man for investigation of first-degree assault. A handgun was recovered.
The wounded 59-year-old employee was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Hospital spokeswoman Susan Gregg said he was in satisfactory condition.
The shooting took place around 3 p.m. Monday at Josephine Sunset Home in Stanwood, about 50 miles north of Seattle. Officials say the shooting followed an argument.
