NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) — James Hulbin scored 19 points to lead four Northwestern State players in double figures to beat Oral Roberts 85-73 in a Southland Conference game Thursday night.
Shamir Davis scored 14 points and Gary Roberson and DeQuan Hicks each had 12 to help Northwestern State (15-6, 9-2) win its fifth straight game.
Hulbin, Roberson and Hicks were part of a strong second unit that gave the Demons a 48-6 advantage in bench points.
Though Oral Roberts shot 49.1 percent (27 of 55) compared to Northwestern State’s 45.6 percent (31 of 68), the Demons led by as many as 17 points in the second half.
