Chehalis police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a man who burglarized an adult gift shop in Chehalis early Thursday morning.
Police responded to an alarm activation on the 800 block of West Main Street at about 7:30 a.m. Thursday. When they arrived, they discovered damage to the front doors of the store.
Based on surveillance footage, it appears that a male suspect unsuccessfully attempted to enter the building by ramming his pickup truck through the door, according to the Chehalis Police Department. When that did not work, he broke a window and entered the store. He then removed more than $1,500 worth of adult toys.
The sex shop burglary suspect is described as a white, middle-aged man who is thin and has short brown hair with a receding hairline. He was wearing a Carhart-type jacket, jeans, black gloves and possible tennis shoes.
