PHOENIX (AP) — Ryan Braun had already let it be known he was not taking any questions about his reported link to a Florida anti-aging clinic when he faced reporters outside the Milwaukee Brewers’ spring training clubhouse.

Braun, who faced what arguably was a much darker cloud on the subject of performance enhancing drugs a year ago, said simply that he stands behind a statement he issued earlier. He pledged complete cooperation with any investigation of Biogenesis of America, a now-defunct company alleged to have supplied performance enhancing substances to Alex Rodriguez and several other noted players.

When asked about baseball’s recent announcement that players will be subject to in-season, unannounced testing for human growth hormone, Braun said Friday that he’s “always been supportive of additional drug testing.”
