Duren, La Salle shoot past Saint Joseph’s 76-64

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Tyreek Duren tied a career-high with 29 points and Ramon Galloway posted a double-double to guide La Salle past local rival Saint Joseph’s 76-64 Saturday in Atlantic 10 Conference play.

Duren made 9 of 12 shots, including five 3-pointers, and Galloway finished with 16 points and a career-best 12 assists.

The Explorers (18-6, 8-3) led 29-24 at halftime but pulled ahead by 10, 37-27, after an 8-3 half-opening run. Jerrell Wright scored six of his 10 points during the key run and Duren converted 3-pointers on three of the Explorers’ next four possessions to seal the victory.

La Salle shot a blistering 62.2 percent (28 of 45), made 10 of 16 3-pointers and dished out 22 assists.

Ronald Roberts led Saint Joseph’s (14-10, 5-6) with 13 points and 10 rebounds, his 12th double-double of the season. The Hawks shot 53.1 percent (26 of 49) but grabbed a season-low 19 rebounds.
