New Orleans rolls over Central Baptist 100-59

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Lovell Cook scored 22 points to lead five New Orleans players in double figures as the Privateers coasted to a 100-59 victory over NAIA opponent Central Baptist on Monday night.

In their only game this season in the Human Performance Center, a smaller facility than their usual Lakefront Arena home, the Privateers (8-14) scored 100 points for the first time since their last game there, a 102-62 victory over Champion Baptist on Feb. 25, 2012.

New Orleans scored 14 unanswered points to take a 33-16 lead with 7:50 remaining in the first half. The Mustangs (7-23) committed six of their 18 first-half turnovers during that stretch

Cory Dixon scored 14 points for the Privateers, Eddie Denard and Rarlensee Nelson had 11 points apiece, and Kevin Hill scored 10 points.

Nelson also had 11 assists, eight rebounds and five steals in 29 minutes.
