NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — Sam Martin and Michael Grace came off the bench to score 12 points in Yale’s 78-67 victory over Dartmouth on Friday night.

The Bulldogs (11-15, 5-4 Ivy League) got 46 points from reserves, including 11 by Brandon Sherrod. The Big Green (6-17, 2-7), led by freshman Alex Mitola’s career-high 27 points, got just 14 from reserves.

Tyler Melville’s 3-pointer and two in a row by Mitola enabled Dartmouth to erase an eight-point Yale lead in the first half, but the Bulldogs started the second with an 18-6 run for a 46-32 advantage. They led by at least 10 after that.

Yale, the league’s top rebounding team, had a 40-26 advantage on the boards despite 13 by Dartmouth’s Gabas Maldunas.

Martin made 4 of 4 3-pointers, giving him 13 of 17 in his last five games.

Yale’s Austin Morgan made 4 of 4 free throws, giving him 33 in a row.
