Sykes, Spurlock lift UCF over Tulsa 83-75

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Isaiah Sykes scored 22 points and Tristan Spurlock added 19 as Central Florida defeated Conference USA-foe Tulsa 83-75 Saturday.

Sykes hit 6 of 13 from the field and 10 of 15 at the foul line and added seven rebounds. Spurlock also grabbed seven boards and added a 4-of-7 showing from 3-point range for the Knights (18-9, 8-5).

Tulsa (14-13, 6-7) led 38-35 shortly after halftime, but the Knights used a 7-0 run to take the lead. The Golden Hurricane pulled within 48-45 with 12:36 left, but then Sykes’ layup sparked a 12-2 run to build an insurmountable cushion.

UCF’s Keith Clanton hit 9 of 12 from the foul line and scored 15 points, and Matt Williams hit a pair of treys en route to 10 points.

Pat Swilling Jr. led Tulsa with 19 points off the bench. Shaquille Harrison added 14 points and James Woodard 10.
