Letter: Hoping light-rail dream is fulfilled

The Columbian

In her Feb. 16 letter, “Light rail is a nightmare,” Stephanie Turlay is having nightmares about light rail. She mentions “the people” saying “no” to funding. But I believe Proposition 1 was a “no” on an increase in our sales tax for funding.

She says there isn’t enough coverage, discussion, etc. Where has she been? This has been going on for at least 17 years. That is how long I have lived here and this issue has been discussed to death.

I, too, am one of “the people” and Turlay’s nightmare is my dream. I would love to see light rail come to Vancouver. It is a great way to get around.
