Unusual Jazz wins Santa Anita feature

ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) — Unusual Jazz defeated Motown Men by 214 lengths to win the $58,000 Trinity River Purse at Santa Anita on Friday.

Ridden by Tyler Baze, Unusual Jazz ran one mile on the turf in 1:34.27 and paid $6.80, $3.20 and $2.40.

Motown Men returned $4 and $2.60 as the 2-1 favorite, while Unusual Beam was another neck back in third and paid $2.40 to show.

The victory, worth $34,800, increased Unusual Jazz’s career earnings to $187,600, with six wins in 20 starts.
