Oregon man accused of posing as marshal

MEDFORD, Ore. — Police say a Central Point man posed as a U.S. Marshals Service officer to get medical care at a Medford hospital.
He was wearing a black uniform, tactical vest and badge last October when he went to the Rogue Valley Medical Center and said he was transporting a fugitive, which caused him anxiety. He was treated but didn't pay a $1,000 bill.
The Mail Tribune reports he gave a false name but a hospital employee looking at online jail photos early this month recognized 42-year-old Donald Lee Anderson. He was in jail on an unrelated charge of felon in possession of a firearm.
Police searched his home last week and found a U.S. Marshals vest, badge and body armor.
Anderson is facing charges of theft and impersonating an officer.
