Pedestrian hit
A man was taken to the hospital after he was struck by a Toyota pickup while attempting to cross Northeast Andresen Road Saturday morning.
Vancouver firefighters were dispatched to Northeast 22nd Street and Northeast Andresen Road at 7:07 a.m. The man who was hit was conscious and able to answer questions, said Kevin Stromberg, spokesman and firefighter-paramedic for the Vancouver Fire Department. The man was not in a crosswalk when he was struck.
He was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, but did not have any obvious injuries, Stromberg said.
