Prairie View beats Alabama A&M 65-46

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (AP) — Josh Eleby scored 17 points and Prairie View A&M held Alabama A&M to 24 percent shooting for the game in a 65-46 victory Monday night.

Jordan DeMuynck scored 15 points and Jules Montgomery had 12 points and 12 rebounds as the Panthers (9-13, 4-5 SWAC) won at home for the fourth straight time. Demondre Chapman also scored 12 points for Prairie View, which maintained a double-digit lead throughout the second half.

The Panthers made just 2 of 16 3-point tries, missing all 11 in the second half. But the Bulldogs went only 1 for 23 from long range for the game.

Demarquelle Tabb had 17 points and nine rebounds to lead Alabama A&M (7-13, 3-6). The Bulldogs went to the free-throw line 27 times, making 19. The Panthers were 5 of 8 at the line as Alabama A&M was called for only seven fouls in the game.
