Letter: Vote Decker for policies, history

The Columbian
Published: June 30, 2013, 5:00pm

I endorse Frank Decker for Vancouver City Council, position 3, based on his answers in The Columbian’s candidate interview, which was on issues such as the Columbia River Crossing, the role of government and whom he will be voting for mayor, which he did not hesitate to answer. Decker believes in smaller government, sound economic principles and personal liberty. He also believes the CRC should be on the ballot, something one of his opponents, Jeanne Harris, voted against. He is also a veteran and a teacher who came from a unique background. Perhaps we need a teacher to tame the dysfunction on the council.
