DENVER (AP) — The Colorado Rockies have placed outfielder Dexter Fowler on the 15-day disabled list with a bone bruise on his right hand.

The move is retroactive to June 26.

Also, the Rockies reinstated right-hander Edgmer Escalona from the 15-day DL.

Fowler suffered a bone bruise swinging against the Boston Red Sox on June 25 and has not played since. The hand has bothered him since he was hit on the right ring finger by a pitch June 13 against Washington.

He is hitting .291 with 10 home runs in 70 games.

Escalona was placed on the disabled list with right elbow inflammation June 11. He is 1-2 with a 4.18 ERA in 21 appearances this season.
