LOS ANGELES (AP) — Guard Katin Reinhardt has transferred from UNLV to Southern California, closer to his hometown of Dana Point.

New USC coach Andy Enfield announced the move Tuesday.

Reinhardt, a sophomore, will have to sit out the 2013-14 season under NCAA rules.

He averaged 10.1 points, led the Runnin’ Rebels with 65 3-pointers and was second on the team with 86 assists last season, when UNLV went 25-10 and made the NCAA tournament.

Reinhardt, a 6-foot-5, 210-pounder, played for prep powerhouse Mater Dei High in Santa Ana.

He’s the second transfer to join the Trojans since Enfield was hired.

Sophomore forward Darion Clark left Charlotte after one season to join USC. He also will sit out next season.

Clark averaged 6.2 points and 4.6 rebounds while starting 18 of 32 games for Charlotte last season. He’s from Conyers, Ga., and played prep ball at Oak Hill Academy in Virginia.
