NEW YORK (AP) — Andrea Bargnani is coming to New York and Pablo Prigioni is staying.
The Knicks announced two of their first moves of the offseason on Wednesday, the first day signings could become official under NBA rules.
They acquired Bargnani, a former No. 1 overall pick, from Toronto for forwards Steve Novak and Quentin Richardson and center Marcus Camby. The Knicks also sent the Raptors a 2016 first-round draft pick and second-round selections in 2014 and 2017.
The 7-footer from Rome has averaged 15.2 points for his career, though that dropped to 12.7 in 35 games during an injury-plagued 2012-13 season.
